NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 28, 2016) – Gene Watson blends traditional, organic country that purists long for in his new album,Real.Country.Music., available for preorder now and digital retailers February 26. After five decades in the music business and more than 75 charting singles, Watson continues to deliver an authentic, soulful album with Real.Country.Music.
“It’s exactly what we titled the album. These are songs that still have fiddle, steel guitar and, quite honestly, soul,” Watson said. “I’m not one to bash what those younger artists are doing, but I can tell you a lot of what you hear nowadays isn’t country. This is Real.Country.Music”
Real.Country.Music. is Watson’s 33rd studio album, which includes a gospel rendition of “Help Me,” a song penned by Larry Gatlin and recorded by Elvis Presley. “Enough For You,” written by Kris Kristofferson, and “When A Man Can’t Get A Woman Off His Mind” a co-write by Bill Anderson and Sharon Vaughn, showcases Watson’s powerful voice and multi-octave range. The 13-track album exemplifies Watson's ability to sing some of the most challenging songs with an ease that comes from pure, natural talent as well as many years performing onstage.
Considered one of the finest pure-country singers of his generation and known as “The Singer’s Singer,” Watson offers one of the best traditional country shows in the business when he’s on tour and still sings in the same key as 30 years ago. Fans are still transfixed whenever classics like “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” “Farewell Party” or “Fourteen Carat Mind” are played.

THE OAK RIDGE BOYS ANNOUNCE 2016 U.S. TOUR Iconic Country Music Hall of Fame Members Spotted Over Weekend Serenading Former President at Texas Restaurant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 27, 2016) – Just like their 1983 mega-hit, The Oak Ridge Boys are “American Made,” and today the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame announce they are planning to bring their multi-platinum selling and GRAMMY® Award winning repertoire of hits to an American city near you. Their 2016 United States tour will stretch all the way from Louisiana to California to Florida to Virginia. Performing over 150 dates per year for over 40 years, The Oak Ridge Boys are looking forward to bringing their critically acclaimed high-energy show to a city near you! For a full list of dates and information on how to buy tickets,
Known for their iconic and multi-platinum selling hit “Elvira,” along with other chart-toppers like “Bobbie Sue,” “Thank God For Kids,” and “Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight,” The Oak Ridge Boys have achieved a decorated career, winning five GRAMMY® Awards, and multiple CMA, ACM and Dove Awards for their cross-over brand of pop, country and gospel music that spans multiple generations. Made up of members Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban, who’s unmistakable bass on the lyric “oom poppa, mow mow,” has become one of music’s most recognized sing-alongs an international scale, The Oak Ridge Boys are members of the Grand Ole Opry and achieved arguably country music’s highest honor in October 2015 when they were inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.

In addition to their 2016 U.S. tour announcement, The Oak Ridge Boys revealed viaTwitter on Sunday night (January 24), they met up for dinner with a notable U.S. couple -- their long-time friends, former president George H.W. Bush and first lady Barbara Bush at Taste Of Texas restaurant in Houston, Texas.
According to the group’s Joe Bonsall, The Oak Ridge Boys and the Bush’s enjoyed “a great meal with some lively and fun conversation,” and ended the night with a tableside serenade from The Oak Ridge Boys with a soulful version of “Feeling Mighty Fine,” a song off of the legendary group’s 1997 gospel album, Revival.

The Oak Ridge Boys have given many command performances throughout their legendary career, from performing for King Gustaf of Sweden, to Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Monaco, to Her Royal Highness Princess Anne of Great Britain and five U.S. presidents: Carter, Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton and W. Bush.
“We have been singing songs for George H.W. Bush since 1982 when he was Vice President, and our love for him has only grown over all of these years. We have stated many times that we are ALL better Americans for having known him and Barbara,” said Bonsall. “It was another memorable night for The Oak Ridge Boys… one that we will never forget. Thanks to the owners of Taste of Texas for hosting us Sunday night. It was simply magical,” he added.
Representing a country and musical heritage that extends back to World War II, The Oak Ridge Boys’ music and touring discipline is deeply steeped in tradition. According to Bonsall, every January for fourteen years, the group has made the same two-day stop at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston to perform a Saturday night show and Sunday matinee that they made this past weekend (January 23-24), prior to their dinner with the Bush family – a tradition they cherish sharing with their Texas fans. Moreover, the group just wrapped up their voyage at sea on The Country Music Cruise 2016 on January 22, following their annualChristmas Night Out Tour, which has been bringing holiday cheer and their fan-favorite hits to Oak Ridge Boys fans nationwide for 26 consecutive years.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 25, 2016) – Ronnie McDowell, known for decades of hit songs and genuine warmth that fills seats again and again, opens up about his illustrious music career in his new autobiography, “‘Bringing It To You Personally,” available for preorder now at

“Bringing It To You Personally,” which includes more than 100 photos, captures McDowell’s personal and career triumphs, as well as life lessons he’s endured throughout four decades as an entertainer. McDowell’s autobiography chronicles the moment he came out of nowhere to dazzle the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song, “The King Is Gone,” in honor of Elvis Presley’s death.

“My fans have been asking me to write a book for more than 20 years. I have always said it would probably not happen, but last year I thought maybe the time was right to tell the real story of my life,” McDowell said.

The young man from Portland, Tennessee quickly proved that he wasn’t just a one-hit wonder after “The King is Gone.” From that single onward, McDowell charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on theBillboard country music charts. Two of his singles, "Older Women" and "You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation," reached No. 1 on the country charts, while eleven more reached Top Ten. He has also released more than twenty studio albums.

McDowell often tours with Elvis Presley’s original sidemen Scotty Moore and D.J. Fontana along with Millie Kirkham and The Jordanaires staging a tribute to Elvis Presley’s music. The legendary Scotty Moore, Elvis’ original guitar player, also raved about McDowell’s autobiography, “If you are a Ronnie fan, if you are an Elvis fan or if you happen to be a Scotty Moore fan…you need to read this book.”

The book’s foreword is written by one of Ronnie’s best friends, The Jordanaires’ Ray Walker:
(book excerpt) “Ronnie is so loved by everyone who works with him. And none more than me. You've heard of people who are joined at that hip? Ronnie and I are joined at the heart. In the Bible, Jesus says, 'There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother'...and that is Ronnie McDowell,” said Ray Walker of The Jordanaires.

‘Bringing It To You Personally’ also includes McDowell’s personal stories about his friendships with everyone from to George Jones to tourmate Conway Twitty.

“I have been able to work with and get to know just about everyone in country music. And I am able to share my memories of those special times and special people.” McDowell adds, “There are some funny stories about a lot of the country stars. And yes, I name names!”

McDowell scored a Top 10 hit with "It's Only Make Believe," a duet with Conway Twitty on what had been Twitty's breakthrough rock and roll hit in 1958. Conway Twitty fans will also love Ronnie’s memories of seven years on the road with Conway.

“I have so many memories of Conway and they are all in here, going from the first time I met him to the very last words he said to me before he died,” McDowell said.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 19, 2016) – Stella Parton is honoring her iconic sister with Mountain Songbird: A Sister’s Tribute, an album of re-recorded songs previously made famous by Dolly, available through digital retailers. Mountain Songbird: A Sister’s Tribute also includes a new duet Dolly and Stella co-wrote together, titled “More Power to Ya.” The new album project coincides with a 16-date UK tour February – March.
“I have been asked many times throughout my career to record an entire album of her music, but in my heart and mind, I never felt I could ever do her music or performances justice. So in the end, while making the decision to record this tribute album of eleven of my favorites, I decided to sing the story songs because they resonated with me the most,” Stella said.
It’s no coincidence Stella released Mountain Songbird: A Sister’s Tributeon her sister’s birthday, January 19.
“I wanted this to come out on her special day. Dolly has always been my favorite songwriter, although I grew up in a family chocked full of them. It was indeed a daunting task to choose eleven of my favorite songs from a catalog so vast. I have chosen to sing them as sincerely and respectfully as possible and I hope you can hear that in my humble and honest approach to my sister's beautiful songs. I am pleased and honored to share my sister tribute,” Stella said.
“Stella is a great singer, entertainer and songwriter. All the more reason I am so proud she decided to do a tribute CD of my songs,” Dolly said.
“She was there from the beginning of my career and always complimented and encouraged me in my writing. I admire and respect the way that she chose to do my songs. She stayed true to the original spirit in which I wrote them and yet found a way to make them her own. I really love how they turned out and I think you will, too. It's been a personal source of joy to be able to hear this loving tribute from one sister to another and just to be able to work that closely with her. I am especially proud of the song we wrote together "More Power To Ya". I hope you will enjoy this CD as much as we've enjoyed working on it for you,” Dolly added.

Country legend Mel Tillis is in critical condition following surgery in a Nashville hospital. Tillis underwent surgery on Wednesday when complications arose. Numerous friends of the 83-year old singer and songwriter have taken to social media to ask for prayers for the star.

Missouri General Assembly Set to Honor Country Music Legend Leroy Van Dyke Van Dyke Presented With an Official House Resolution Honoring 60-Plus Year Career

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (January 13, 2015) – The members of the Missouri legislature will take time next Tuesday afternoon to honor country music legend and Missouri native Leroy Van Dyke. The Missouri House of Representatives will hold a brief ceremony on the House floor as state Reps. Nathan Beard and Steve Cookson present Van Dyke with an official House Resolution honoring him for his 60 years in the music business. Van Dyke is also scheduled to be honored on the floor of the Missouri Senate that same day.

Both Beard and Cookson said it was a privilege to be able to recognize a man who has had such a profound impact on the country music business, and such incredible longevity in the industry.

“The impact Leroy Van Dyke has had on country music is unparalleled and something we all should take immense pride in as his fellow Missourians. I am blessed to have him as a constituent and so extremely proud of the amazing career he achieved with talent, hard work and perseverance. I am thrilled that my colleagues will join us in shining a much deserved spotlight on the Missourian who is respected throughout the country music industry as a consummate professional,” said Beard, R-Sedalia.

“Our state has seen some truly outstanding men and women accomplish amazing things, but few can rival the phenomenal accomplishments of Leroy Van Dyke, who is Missouri’s ambassador for country music. He has entertained millions over multiple generations, and continues to be a world class entertainer today at the age of 86. He is truly one of our state’s finest and most accomplished citizens, and someone I am proud to be able to join my colleagues in recognizing,” said Cookson, R-Poplar Bluff.

Van Dyke, who was born in Mora, Missouri in 1929, currently lives on a ranch near Sedalia. A University of Missouri graduate, he first achieved country music fame in 1956 with his hit song, “The Auctioneer”, which sold more than 2.5 million records. Van Dyke was also famous for his song, “Walk on By”, which was named by Billboard Magazine in 1994 as the biggest country music single of all time. In total, Van Dyke recorded more than 500 songs with dozens of them making the charts. For his many successes in the country music business, Van Dyke was made a member of the Grand Ole Opry; named the Country Music Entertainer of the Decade for the 1960s by music industry experts; and inducted into North American Country Music Association, International, Hall of Fame.

Van Dyke also had a successful career in other mediums as he starred in the leading role in the 1967 movie “What Am I Bid?”, and served as a cast member on the ABC television show “Ozark Jubilee”. Van Dyke also co-hosted the Country Crossroads radio show, which became the most widely syndicated radio show in country music history. In addition to his success as a country music entertainer, Van Dyke served his country in Korea as a special agent with the U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence Corps. He also is a member of the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame, and is the author of “Auctioneering, Motivation, Success”.

Cookson and Beard plan to honor Van Dyke for his many accomplishments when the House convenes for session at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
