Charlie Daniels's Volunteer Jam Raises Major Funds, Brings Surprise Guests
Charlie Daniels's Volunteer Jam, drew a sold out crowd to the Bridgestone Arena, in Nashville, last night. The event was mc'd by Fox News TV host, Sean Hannity, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity, specifically The Journey Home Project, which helps pair veterans with the correct medical services for their needs.
Surprise guests like Eric Church, Jamey Johnson, Blackberry Smoke and Lynyrd Skynyrd, brought the crowd to their feet in ovation in ways that only patriotic, country fans can!
Other acts on the bill were; The Charlie Daniels Band, Ted Nugent, Trace Adkins, Alabama, Terri Clark, Billy Ray Cyrus, Colt Ford, The Grascals, Lee Greenwood, The Kentucky Headhunters, Tracy Lawrence, The Oak Ridge Boys, Ryan Weaver, Wynonna, Craig Morgan, Lee Roy Parnell, Billy Dean, Michael W. Smith, Travis Tritt, Phil Vassar and Montgomery Gentry.
Mr Nashville note---Charlie Daniels is a major philanthropist, this often goes unnoticed. His work in Wilson County, TN is endless as is his work in honor of our troops.
Speaking of his huge arena event....can you imagine if Dolly Parton had an event like this? The celebrities she could bring out would cross Hollywood and Music boundaries alike and if filmed would be a ratings success!
