If Nashville doesn't get this movie, I will be heartbroken, disgusted, and shattered. (Don't you love the drama? I would have said I would jump out a window but a few people would probably encourage that!).
You got to see this documentary about my friend, one of my heroes, and one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known. Carol Channing, is the epitome of what a star is. Her professionalism, her giving of herself to her fans, her unique style, and her originality is what made Entertainment fun for most of my life. It's sad to see these types of talents disappear with the culture of today. I'm proud to call her my friend, even prouder to know her, and to have worked with her. Please see this film so you will love her as much as I do. If you walk away without that same admiration, obviously your heart isn't made of something unconventionally harsh.
On December 21, legendary singer, Etta James, was hospitalized in Southern California, when she was having trouble breathing. James, is terminally ill, suffering from leukemia, dementia, and receiving home care treatment.
Lupe De Leon, the iconic singer's manager, reports that Etta, was taken off a respirator and is breathing on her own as of Friday. This month a judge set aside $350,000 of James's fiances for future medical care.
Many newer fans will know of James, from Beyonce's famous betrayal of the famous Blues singer in the motion picture Cadillac Records., As a whole know her as one of the greatest female vocalists of the 20th century.
Let's keep prayers going up for Etta, in my honest opinion she has never gotten her due.
More Behind the Scenes Footage from Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah's new film, Joyful Noise. If you read this blog, you know I'm a fan of this film. I'll go see it again, once it's released January 13. Hope you will too. I only hope Dolly and the Queen will do convention and unconventional media appearances in promotion of the film. Lets hope Dolly will drop by Saturday Night Live, Wendy Williams, Chelsea Lately as well as her usual media shows. Hopefully some joint Latifah/Parton appearances will be in the future plans. The two have recently stopped by Vh1 Diva's Live, and GMC's How Sweet The Sound. Couldn't we all use a little "faith lift"?
Wynonna and Highway 101 drummer, Cactus Moser, are now engaged. Cactus, popped the question on Christmas Eve. Lets hope that he's the gift that keeps on giving for Wy. This will make the singer's third walk down the isle, and they say the third times a charm. Wy has had her share of losers, so I wish her all the best. If anyone deserves happiness it's Wynonna Judd, she has had a life that reminds me of the 1980's movies of the week. When it comes to suffering, she's right up there with Elizabeth Taylor. Congrats to two great people!
Kelly Clarkson is taking heat for voicing her political support for Republican candidate, Ron Paul. Here's the tweet that started the controversy:
"I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he's got my vote. Too bad he probably won't."
The last time I checked we were in American, and the girl has a right to voice her opinion. I never understood why it is ok, every night, for a showbiz candidate to voice support for a Democrat candidate, yet any differing opinion is likened to treason. As they here in the South, "never discuss politics or religion, unless you agree 100 percent with me!".
No wonder everyone hates politics. So who do you think Kelly has a right to voice a short tweet in support of a candidate?
Lady Gaga's former personal assistant, Jennifer O'neill, claims that the singer overworked and owes her over 380,000 in unpaid overtime. She's not the first Gaga retractor, Angela Ciemny, has a tell all book, Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady, in which she claims that the singer demanded she sleep in the bed with her because she hated to be alone.
Let me say this, I've been where both these girls are. My advice to Gaga is to find someone loyal. When you work for an artist, these demands, believe it or not, are not out of the norm. If you wish to maintain any realm of normalcy, a career with a famous artist isn't one you wish to pursue. I for one am proud of the fact that I gave my all, to those I worked with/for. However, 380,000 in overnight is tempting enough to try to sue to get a chunk of. Just kidding. Or am I?
Sadly, I just received the news, a dear friend of mine, Harry Kullijian, has passed away. Harry, a devout Christian, knew his Lord, and he is there at peace now. I spoke with his daughter Missie Fennell and she confirmed the reports.
Many know Harry, from managing the career of his famous wife, another dear friend, Carol Channing. Please remember precious Carol and his daughter Missie in your prayers during this difficult time.
Harry, you will be missed, but God's gathering jewels for your crown, because I know even he's "wild about Harry" as the song says.
A Christmas Story- The Cult Classic Film Has A Porn Connection????
Who can forget the classic Christmas comedy, A Christmas Story? I remember the exact place where I first witnessed this naughty but nice Holiday piece of celluloid, The Dixie Four, in Louisville, KY. HA. Not that you care, right?
Interesting fact, did you know that the writer/director of, A Christmas Story, was written by, Bob Clark, the directory of Dolly Parton and Sylvestor Stallone's movie, Rhinestone?
Catch up on some of the cast from A Christmas Story in this article by the Huffington Post. One of the actors even became an actor in Porn films. Weird huh?
It really saddens me to post that Emily Harris, of the Bobby Jones Nashville Super Choir, has passed away. Emily's smiling face will be missed. Homegoing services will be held at Cathedral of Praise COGIC4300 Clarksville Pike Nashville TN 37218Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 7 PMIndustry MusicalThursday, December 29th, 2011 11 AMHomegoing Celebration
Below Ms. Harris, and Bobby Jones New Life Choir, backs Barbara Mandrell, on Swing Low Sweet Chariot. This clip was filmed at the Kennedy Center, in honor of Bob Hope's Birthday.
Everyone is going to miss her beautiful smile and voice! Now she's forever Sheltered In The Arms Of God.
Motley Crew's Vince Neil, says that he's considering leaving the band that launched him to stardom, 30 years later. Vince, told Robin Leach, that he was "seriously thinking about" leaving Motley Crue after the band's February residency at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel. The Las Vegas Sun reports that he says he doesn't want to look back at his career and think I could of done that, I should have done this.
It happens a lot that a singer feels their career is strong enough to pursue other ventures and go out on their own, leaving the band that launched them. But usually they do it before the career has went to legendary status. At that point, you just look, well, DUMB. I mean you already filmed and sold your own sex tape what else do you want to do? By the way, who is nasty enough to want to see Vince Neil naked? Gross.
Good luck to the Crew! And Vince, don't count them chickens before they hatch! Do you think Mr. Neil can make it on his own?
Grammy's Honor George Jones With Lifetime Achievement Award
So excited for the Possum. The King Of Country Music, George Jones, should be honored with every Lifetime Honor for music that can be thought of. There isn't any male singer before or after, that can sing with the amazing tones of Jones. He's an original, he's the VOICE of VOICES. Congrats, George!

The Roys Get New Tv Series And I Still Don't Know Who They Are!
The Roys, will host a 30 minute variety series for Viacom. Now you may ask who are The Roys? I really can't tell you, but they show up everywhere, and are a part of every Nashville event. Have they had many hits? I don't know. I asked my friends and all say the same thing, "who are they?". The coverage that they get would have you think that they were musical superstars.
Maybe this series will put them heavy on the map. The show will be called, Roots and Music with The Roys. The first 13 episodes will be filmed in Nashville, which is a great thing. I'm all for any production that gives Nashville, and/or Country Music more exposure. I would never have guessed that this duo would be chosen to do it, but congrats to them. They sure do work the scene, and kudos to them. Maybe some of you are fans of theirs, if so send me a comment and enlighten me.
Miley's Costa Rican Fans Say It Like They Mean It!
Miley Cyrus, with her beau in tow, Liam, were in Costa Rica catching a helicopter. As a couple fans had their photo taken with Miley, a couple additional fans requested a photo as well. The superstar said she had to go. Well, the Costa Rican, Hannah Montana fans, weren't going to be shushed off, and they called Ms. Cyrus a not so nice name. Since, I'm a polite Nashville boy, I won't type the word the fan called Miley but lets say it rhymed with lasso. GASP! Yes They did!
Where is Lily when you need her Miley??? I'm sure she would have deflated the situation for you Miles. Well..lets just say Miley has a potty mouth too. If interested you can watch the clip. You'll get a taste of the best of both worlds.
One of Southern Gospel Music's greats, and my friend, Naomi Sego, recently got her groove on for the camera. Evidently she thinks this is pretty funny herself. I have a couple fun photos of Naomi from days on the road when I traveled with Dottie Rambo. I'll consider sharing some of those sometime. But until then, here's a good laugh. Make sure to go buy one of Naomi's CDs as well!!
David Archuleta Leaves Music For Mormon Mission Work
David Archuleta, has decided to leave his musical career, to pursue a career as a Mormon missionary. Sales for his last album didn't fair well, Jive Records dropped him. The boy is very shy, kind, and packs a lot of talent. I think that if he resurfaces in a renewed situation, finding himself, his music, and what he wants from life, he will come back a stronger artist than ever. I've seen him perform and he rocked the house, and did it during the time of pop stars lip synching. He gave the real thing. Months later, we both attended a party where I got to visit with him, and ICarly's Jeannette McCurdy. I love that gal too. McCurdy, said she loved my eyes.
He's young, he still has time to find his voice. You just never know, Mr. Archuleta may come riding his bicycle to your neighborhood.
Sarah Palin, tells Fox Business News, "It's not too late for folks to jump in.". Could she be hinting? The GOP better hope so. In my opinion, and take it for what it's worth, (NOTHING). Mitt Romney nor Newt Gingrich can beat President Obama in this election. I know Palin's critics say, she's inexperienced, they say that the crowds she draws are due to the fact that she is a celebrity. Well, it's the same headlines they used for Obama during his campaign for election. Obama had an even harder task than Palin, the obstacle of Hilary Clinton! Like her, love her, hate her, whatever you want, but if the Republicans want to win the White House, the only answer they have at this moment is Sarah Palin.
I'm not trying to get all political, just passing around some information. I'm not anti Obama, pro anyone else, just sharing my thoughts on this particular issue. I have met Sarah Palin, and she is a lovely, sweet, kind woman. The attacks against her I think are due to the fact that people consider her a threat, and they should. At a time when most of America is out of work, feels the Government has disconnected from the people, she seems more like the common man (so to speak).
Aside from all the political talk. Here's a funfact.... I actually got the name, Mr. Nashville, from Sarah Palin. When I met her, she called me Mr. Nashville, later in the evening when she addressed me again, she called me by the same name. She told me I looked very Nashville. Later, I got an 8x10 photo of us together that she autographed to, "Mr. Nashville". So I give her credit for the name, which I love, because I love Nashville and will always maintain that it's the greatest city on Earth. NYC and LA, your right behind it!!!
While watching Watch What Happens Live, on Bravo, some revealing news was made. Nene Leakes, has landed a guest spot on Glee!!! This is something I'm gonna love!!! Bring it NENE! Glee castmates, Lea Michelle (Rachel) and Chris Colfer (Kirt) shared the news while guesting with Andy Cohen tonight! Don't forget Andy's going to 5 nights a week January 8.
Nene can bring the bloop bloop and BAM to any show she's on. She says she's single and will not rule out white men, please look me up NENE!!! I ain't to proud to beg.
It's been a while since we've heard the name Julie Roberts, on the country scene. Who Needs Mistletoe, is Julie's latest release. Though I have yet to hear the album, I can't get over the amazing cover. For that alone, I give Julie two thumbs up. I'm definitely going to check this album out. I think some of the girls in country could learn something from Julie's dress here. She looks beautiful, glamorous, and classy. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood seem to sparkle up the stage but most of the other women tend to fall foul in their stage attire in country music.
Julie, if Mrs. Santa, looked like you, he would never leave to pass out the gifts! I'd love to give her career a boost.
REO Speedwagon Wants Keith Urban To Cover One Of Their Tunes!
REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin, wants Keith Urban to cover one of the band's famous tunes. In a recent interview with Country Weekly Cronin tells the publication, list. "I've had a lot of musical goals in my life, but getting Keith Urban to do one of my songs is one of my last ones. His talent amazes me. If he did just even one of my songs, I can die a happy man."
This wouldn't be the first country music cover of REO Speedwagon. Dolly Parton, covered, Time For Me to Fly, with a rollicking high energy acoustic driven twist, for her White Limozeen album released in 1989. There's usually no higher honor for a songwriter than to be covered and interpreted by another artist (with the exception of Prince who isn't a fan of artists covering his work).
Dolly looks amazingly fun on the red carpet for Vh1's Diva's Live. Queen Latifah, and our Nashville Queen were presenters on the Divas special. Both looked stunning. It was great to see Dolly in a full length gown and so elegantly dressed. Very reminiscent of her days with designer, Tony Chase. I hope this outfit is a step for more to come. The only thing missing was some bejeweled pumps.
The two Queens made the presentations as part of their media stops to promote their new film, Joyful Noise, in theaters, January 13. The film is amazingly fun, please go see it, I really want to see Dolly on the big screen more often.
Redbook Magazine will have a dual article in promotion of the film that will hit stands December 20. I hope this is an indication of more press to come. I hope they will shoot to make appearances at the Oscars in January (present, perform, red carpet), and The Grammys in February. These are two of the biggest red carpet events of the year and if they were to be on stage together I think it would be a nice touch, but even if they just worked the red carpet and went home, it's worth the trip.
It would be nice to see the two do some sort of special for BET and CMT. Cross promote. And with all the great gospel music and singers on the show TBN would be a great spot to generate interest in the film and soundtrack. Movie Jan 13. Soundtrack Jan 10.
By the way, while in NYC, Dolly, went to see Joyful Noise, costar, Jeremy Jordan, starring in Broadway's Bonnie and Clyde.
Yikes, 16 Year Old Dies After Masturbation 42 Times
Some Catholics nuns out there going to take this and run with it. I'm sure they were looking for a better threat than, "you'll go blind!".
I still think there has to be more to the story than is being released. A healthy 16 year old boy, committing an act like this, 42 times may be very extreme. Was his heart healthy? Did he take drugs? Had he had any previous illness?
NBC, will air a Betty White's 90th Birthday, A Tribute To America's Golden Girl, January 16. Following the special, the network will air Betty's new television series, Off Their Rockers. The reality show, hosted by Betty, will have senior citizens playing practical jokes on the public. This seems like a show everyone will get a good laugh at. Plus, who wouldn't love Betty White. It's good to see her career soar the way it is these days. What's even better is that she is getting a prime time special on a major network. I wish other major networks and media outlets would realize that legendary artists can deliver, still be funny, and already have a devout fan base.
Don't forget to check Betty out on Hot in Cleveland, over on TV Land as well.
Absolutely Fabulous Is Absolutely Fabulous In This Clip!
Absolutely Fabulous, certainly lives up to it's name in this clip below! It's more fun than a cricket in your tightie whities!! Not to mention I agree with everything said in this clip. What about you? Aren't we all sick of, Keeping Up With The Kardashians? I'd rather keep up with the Jones, George Jones that is! That's a reality show I would watch!
Joyful Noise Dolly and Queen Latifah Get 5 Stars In My Book! AMAZING, FUNNY, FAMILY FILM MUST SEE!
Thumbs are way up for the new film, Joyful Noise, starring Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. I attended an advance screening of the movie tonight, with a very animated audience. Dolly delivers a lot of great one-liners, gets to be a little smarty pants in some scenes, and is as cute as all get out in this film. Dolly's character GG Sparrow, (GG stands for Gorgeous Grandma) is a devout church going Christian but don't mess with her family!!! Jeremy Jordan plays Dolly's grandson, he's amazing in the movie as well.
Latifah plays,Vi Rose, a traditionalist in the church who doesn't take well to change and doesn't like Dolly's future forward style. Keke Palmer plays Latifah's daughter. She is adorable.
This is one the family will be able to enjoy together. If you are a fan of Glee, Sister Act, or Madea movies you will love this film. The movie also follows in the style that writer/director, Todd Graff, used in his movie, Camp. The use of many characters stories being intertwined together with LOTS of music.
The movie is out in January and you got get your booties in the seats at the theaters and make this movie a hit.
Fox and Friends will get a little livelier on Monday, December 19. Country Music superstar, Larry Gatlin, will bring his humor, charm, and Texas charisma to the number one cable morning news show. This is the first time the morning news show has ever had a Country Music artist to guest host.
“Our Father, which art in heaven, don't let me say anything wrong… something that will get me kicked off the ‘curvy couch!’” laughs Gatlin. “I just love those ‘curvy couch’ kids and I am thankful to the folks on the 2nd floor at Fox for the opportunity.”
Fox and Friends host, Brian Kilmeade, will have to look out as Larry could land his job! Just kidding, Brian (you know he must read this blog ha ha). The morning news show as well as the Fox Network and Fox Business Network have been very welcoming to country music artists and one of the major sources for national exposure.
Take a look at this shot of Larry from the 70's. "Don't hate the player, hate the game!" Larry, is one of the originally Country Mac Daddies.
Deborah Allen Releases New Christmas Children's Book!
I had a downtown meeting yesterday and ran into my friend Raymond Hicks. Mr. Hicks, is married to singer/songwriter Deborah Allen. Raymond took us on a tour of the incredible office, writer rooms, and his own personal man cave!! Before leaving he made sure I had an autographed copy of Deborah's new Children's Book, The Loneliest Christmas Tree. Hope on over to http://www.deborahallen.com/ to order yours this Christmas!
CMA Pledges 10 Million Dollars To Hall Of Fame And Museum!
The Country Music Association, has pledged to donate 10 million dollars to the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum. The donation assists the goal of education people on the history of Country Music, through an expansion by 2014, that will increase the museum to over 350,000 square feet.
Lets hope we can see larger exhibits of artifacts and photos versus video displays. It would be nice if they had a section devoted to Country artists theme park ventures such as Dolly Parton's Dollywood, Loretta Lynn's Ranch, and the now defunct Twitty City. Oh, and of course a nice exhibit on Opryland!!!
The Williams Family exhibit, ends December 31, was the most in depth exhibit I've ever encountered at the Hall Of Fame. The documentation, artifacts, photos, costumes, awards were beyond any collection ever displayed at the museum, in my opinion.
Nene And The Atlanta Girls Are ROCKING This Season!
Atlanta Housewives was rocking tonight!! Next week looks even better, as Kandi gives nutty Kim the bidness! Nene's devilish smile in the previews makes me want to press fast forward on the remaining week!!!
Sheree's ex husband showed that he not only is a dead beat dad but an immature one. Mr. Whitfield, has publicly stated he wouldn't pay and hasn't paid Sheree any child support. During their court appearance, Bob threw a red flag up for Phaedra and Sheree, which led to a continuance. As the former Atlanta Falcons, athlete, left the courtroom he stuck his tongue out! Congratulations Bob, you're not only a loser, dead beat dad, your a freaking idiot! This whole not paying child support just to get back at a spouse only reflects on what a loser you are. This hits to close to home with me and a lot of single parents out there Bob! Man up, support your kids!
The Atlanta girls bring the excitement and drama, so don't miss out!! Nene if you and Greg go through with your divorce, will you marry me? You said you were going to give us white dudes a chance.
Side note---Sheree and Ms. Lawrence will appear with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens this coming Sunday. Does anyone else agree, Ms. Lawrence, needs to take a hike??? Bravo.....where's Dwight??? Ms. Lawrence is a terrible MIS HAP for Atlanta Housewives.
Bobby Reidel Gives Run Down On Cyndi Lauper's Home For Holidays Event
East Coast Friend, Promoter Bobby Reidel shares the following first hand recollections of his night with Cyndi Lauper, Home For The Holidays Event.
From Bobby: I had the awesome opportunity to attend Cyndi Lauper's, "Home For The Holiday's" event at the Beacon theater in NYC on Dec 4th. It was dubbed, "Cyndi Lauper and Friends", and she didn't disappoint as you will read in the review below. The event was a sell out! Everyone that was part of the show...from Talent to Crew...were UNPAID. The evening was a charity concert fundraiser to help raise awareness to the rapid issue of homelessness...particularly, homelessness in the GLBT community. Cyndi shared how she would go to where the homeless were and realized, 40% were teenagers that were kicked out of there homes for being gay. As many of you know, Cyndi is a straight ally to the community, and has opened up the True Colors Residence...a home that takes in those GLBT teens who have no where to go. The work they do is astonishing. Everything from education to job placement. Cyndi along with her manager, Lisa Barbaris, work tirelessly in bringing attention to this academic. For more info on the True Colors Residence go to: http://intergenerational.org/truecolors.php The show from top to finish was a blast. It was filled with incredible musical moments, some very funny routines, and extremely emotional speeches and stories. "Home For The Holidays" was attended by a spectrum of people...gay, straight, republican, democrat, conservative, religious, non religious, atheist, the music lover, the charity lover, and the media...even a few stars were seen walking in (Lance Bass and Greg Valentine). I really enjoyed the show.. It was a real treat seeing so many of these artists, and fans, all come together to help the homeless...It didn't matter what side of the political spectrum you wer eon, or where you stood on the issues....It was simply to raise money to help these teens who were kicked out of there homes. Personally, I know God doesn't kick people out of His love, so family shouldn't either. I digress....
Here is a rundown of the evening with the help of Micolcrazypilgrim.... Norah Jones was the first artist on stage. She sang her classic hit “Don’t Know Why – You didn’t Call”? as well as a song dedicated to her dog, accompanying herself by a piano. Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein were then singing a cute duet: “Do You Love Me”, with Harvey singing the part of Cyndi’s husband of 20 Years. It was very funny and Cyndi’s talent as an actress showed off, further to her huge talent as a singer. While I was there looking at her perform, I kept thinking what a blast everybody will have when Cyndi’s reality show- which is soon being filmed- will be on television. Linda Perry – who has written songs for Christina Aguilera, Pink and many other artists – sang her song made famous by Christina : “You are Beautiful”, and it was a very intimate and deep moment.Rock band Deluka sang a song of theirs as well as a version of Cyndi Lauper’s “She Bop”, which was a very cool rock version with some electric guitars. Cheryl Wright, a famous country singer who came out at the age of 39 years old, shared her story and sang her number one hit “Single white female”. Vanessa Carlton with “ A thousand miles” followed, and then Cyndi Lauper was back on stage with Lou Reed and she performed with him on his “Satellite love”. Clay Aiken sang a "Grown Up Christmas List", then it was Alan Cumming’s turn. He sang a medley of Adele’s “ Someone like you ” with Lady Gaga’s song “ Edge of glory” and Katy Perry’s “Fireworks”. The songs were mixed in to make it a wonderful song which fit the message of Love and Acceptance for the LGBT youth thrown out of their homes.
Cassandra Wilson sang “Time After Time” with Cyndi. Which most Cyndi fans know that Cassandra did her own version of the song years ago on her Jazz Album. I really had a total blast on this. It was very deep, and amazing for me to hear Cyndi doing such a different version of her hit, which she sang all through her “Memphis Blues” tour near the end of the set, and harmonizing with Cassandra. So inspiring.Skylar Grey- the song writer who wrote the beautiful Rhianna/ Eminem song “Love The Way You Lie” came and performed this song. Cyndi also sang with some of the other artists on their songs. She performed with Jon Secada on "Still I Rise Stronger", and he gave the fans in attendance his 20 million dollar seller, "Just Another Day Without You". Cyn also joined Angelique Kidjo on “Batonga”. It was so great to see them having so much fun on stage all together. Positivity and love are the first words which come to my mind when I think about that amazing night, and I am so happy and feel so blessed I could be there at this wonderful show for such a great cause. Nona Hendrix, of "LaBelle" (Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells), tore it up on many songs...A Staples favorite, "I'll Take You There", "Give Love A Try", and "Love and Happiness"...it was def getting all "churchy" up at the Beacon!Comedian and actress Wanda Sykes had everyone laughing their heads off talking about her two adopted kids as well as teasing Cyndi when the audience heard her off stage going over her song “Girl’s Just want to have fun” with other performers. She said something to affect like: “What are you guys chanting back there? And just tell me if you want me to get offstage and stop talking to my kids”. She was so funny.
The event had a slew of Presenters such as NY Housewives Reality Star Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Wendy Williams, Kathy Najimy, Carson Kressley. All the performers were on stage with a Version of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”, which started in as gospel and ended in pop. One of the deepest moments of all the show. It totally made me cry. Cyndi performing her "True Colors" with the kids of a NYC Pride choir. Pure love. After the show, I was able to get into the after part reception. All the celebrities in attendance went out of there way to make everyone feel special, and were more than receptive to pose for pictures. The media came in when Cyndi Lauper showed up after the show and they took pictures of her while she pose with fans and sponsors of the event (Some pics included). The love and admiration that Cyndi has is just amazing. She is so gracious with everyone, and really enjoys taking time out to talk to people and do above and beyond the call of duty at these parties. Very few celebrities of her stature go out of the way like she does.
Friend, Celebrity Photographer, Alan Mercer Profiled
Check out this great interview with my dear friend, Alan Mercer. Alan, is one of the greatest celebrity photographers in Los Angeles. Mr. Mercer and I are kindred spirits, as we have the greatest appreciation for legendary performers, ecenrtic personalities, and classic entertainment. By the way, thanks for mentioning me in your interview Alan!! (Photo Me, Alan Mercer, Mamie Van Doren, and David Blackstock)
Leslie Jordan is one of the funniest men of all time. I love Southern Humor and I love Leslie Jordan. Leslie wants to meet Dolly Parton and who could blame him. I met Leslie a few times over the years and I can't tell you how great he is.
Ok, some people I'm sure will rush to get in line to donate toys after the announcement that a Chicago Strip club is going to give free lap dances to anyone who donates a toy for Christmas. Not only that but the participants also get to watch the strippers have a nude pillow fight free of charge. Talk about putting the X in XMAS. I'm not giving too many details as this is a little creepy. I don't want to help anyone get their freak on. But if you do go make sure to cover your drink their could be more things flying in the air, other than feathers. It does make me wonder what these gals look like if they have to give away free stuff in order to get a crowd.
Jessica Gets 3 Million To Push Away From The Table!
Weight Watchers is reportedly going to pay Jessica Simpson, three million dollars to lose the baby weight from her pregnancy. Heck, I say hurry up and get that weight off and get knocked up again and see if you can get another few million. Poor little Lindsay Lohan only got a million bucks for showing her birthday suit and Jessica is getting three million just for pushing away from the table. Who do you think got the better deal?
WOW, someone is dumber than I am when it comes to technology! Wildman, Charlie Sheen, meant to send a direct message to Justin Bieber, yet publicly tweeted his personal cell number. Sheen said he got several thousand text messages before he got the message deleted. You know what's really even crazier than Charlie posting his cell phone number is the fact that he was giving it to Justin Bieber. Ms. Gomez, you better buckle your man down because if Charlie mentors the Beebz you may be too old for him!
Ironically, Hairspray star, Nikki Blonsky, is working in a hair salon. The actress who's last big job, ahhh no pun intended, was on the show HUGE. It's rough for an overweight actress in Hollywood but she isn't giving up on her dreams. She recently graduated cosmetology school and is doing makeup in Long Islands's SuperStar Salon.
Good to see someone who ain't to proud to roll her sleeves up and making her Andrew Jackson's.
Mindy McCready Accuses Mother Of Abusing Her Child
The Boot is reporting that Mindy McCready, is accusing her mother of abusing her son, Zander. The Grandparents have custody of little Zander. McCready has been on a cat and mouse game with the law hiding the child.
Physical abuse is a serious accusation and we all know Mindy's had her share of "problems" in the past. Lets hope that everything works out for the family. I never understand why a parent, especially one that lost custody of their child, hides their children from the other parent or guardian. This happens way to much. Children aren't property, they are human beings, just because two lousy adults can't get along, you don't have the right to grant yourself custody. That's why we have a judicial system.
Jen Anniston Voted Sexiest Woman Of All Time??? PUHLEEZE
Plain Jane, Jennifer Anniston, voted, Sexiest Woman Of All Time, by Men's Health Magazine??? Who did they poll? Unless the poll was taken by lesbians, I can't see how they derived this result! I can think of hundreds, possibly thousands of more women deserving the title. Heck, I can even go to The Belle Meade Kroger (it's a Nashville thang) on Senior Citizen discount day and find sexier women than Anniston. No offense Jen! I really don't get all this sexy talk about actresses like Jen, Sandra Bullock, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Average women yes, but really, even Betty White is sexier!
Hmm..it would be interesting to do the sexiest women in Country Music, hands down, the winner should be Dolly Parton (who also was mentioned in the top 100 of Men's Health list). But after Dolly who would the sexiest women in country be? Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough, or Leann Rimes?
Sound Control Recording Studios Gets Remodel, Mr. Nashville Gets A Tour
Mark Moseley gives Mr. Nashville a tour of a new and improved Sound Control Studios. Folks like Dolly Parton, George Jones, Tanya Tucker, Dottie Rambo, John Anderson, Porter Wagoner have all cut music in this studio on Music Row.
LeAnn Rimes Releases Her Last Contractual Project With Curb
LeAnn Rimes is busy working on her contractual last album for Curb. No word on if she will remain with the label. Mike Curb has poo pooed on a lot of star's feelings over the years Hank Jr, LeAnn, and recently Tim McGraw.
Anyway..back to our pretty Santa..."I don't believe it's productive to go around and badmouth anyone that I work with, because at the end of the day, we all have to sit in front of each other and agree or disagree," LeAnn tells the Tennessean. "I have great respect for everyone who works there. But the great thing is that no matter how the business is or how we agree or disagree on how things are promoted, I'm proud of the product that I made, and as long as I keep making good music, that's the most important thing to me. And I'm incredibly proud of this record."
Mr. Playboy, Hugh Hefner, is very upset that 11 photos of Lindsay Lohan's naked pictorial have leaked over the Internet. Well, he did pay a whopping 1 million dollars for his nude photo shoot with the troubled star. Hef had hoped to revive a little bit of the Playboy magazine brand, through the controversial spread, that has been slowly disappearing since the advent of the internet.
Lindsay's a beautiful girl that I hope will get herself together. Everyone makes their own choices and has to pay the tab for their good time. Sadly, Lohan was raised in a family of leaches and have shown themselves to be cat nip crazy!! It's a wonder Lindsay hasn't went nuttier than she has.
Adele wants to make sure that she gets her Marlboro Lights in her dressing room! And aside from puffing she wants to share some love by requiring that any ticket the venue or promoter gives away is compensated with a $20 donation to SANDS, a UK charity for Mothers who lose their babies, and studies stillborn deaths.
It's a nice thought, don't you think? But I think if someone is hiring you to do a show they should be able to use the tickets as they see fit, after all your getting your paycheck. But who am I?
Bocephus raises $75,000 For Country Music Hall Of Fame
Hank William's Jr., raised over $75,000 for the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum at an acoustic concert, in the museum's Ford Theater. For the last four years, the Country Music Museum, has housed it's largest exhibit ever, Family Tradition. The Exhibit, showcased the Williams Family in great detail. Father, Hank Sr., son, Hank, Jr., the daughter the patriarch Hank never knew, Jett Williams, and Hank Williams the third, all had artifacts on display. Bocephus announced that he would leave many of the items with the museum. After the concert Hank stuck around to shake and howdy with all the guests. It would be great if other country celebrities would do such events for the Hall. Keith Urban and Vince Gill have been very gracious in their fundraising. I would like to see the Hall do exhibits on Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn. Their Night Train To Nashville Exhibit was incredible, detailing the black influence in Country Music and Nashville's night life. I'd love to see the museum celebrate some of the Gospel influence on Country music as well.
Singer, and anti Pope, photo ripping, Sinead O'connor will marry for the fourth time on December 8! Her soon to be husband, Barry Herridge, still has time to come to his senses and back out!!! This woman is a complete loon! But even loons need love! But my advise to Barry is run run run run run. Then hide!
